GENERAL INFORMATION (Page Two of Two) To exit any of the dialog boxes you may open while using ImprocRAD, depress the 'x' in the upper right corner of the dialog box. ImprocRAD resizes the main control buttons for easy visibility on computer screens of widely different sizes. Dialog boxes are automatically sized on opening but do not dynamically auto-resize. If you want to the size to change of an open dialog box, you must close the box and open it again. If you minimize the main window by using the underline symbol in the window's system menu at the upper right corner of the window, you must chose the restore (or maximize) options presented to you when you click the right mouse button on the task bar. Double- clicking the minimized icon will not restore the window. INSTALLATION NOTES: The ImprocRAD user interface depends on the use of the font ARIEL BLACK. Please make certain that this font is installed on your machine. If it is not, you may obtain a version from from Microsoft website. Alternatively, a self-extracting compressed file that includes the installation prcedure and the license agreement is included with the ImprocRAD file distribution. Please read the MS-agreement carefully. It is necessary to enter a variable in the operating system's environment. The variable is ImprocRadDir and its value should be the directory where you have installed the ImprocRAD executable member and the configuration files. For a default setup the value would be ImprocRadDir = C:\\Program Files\\ImprocRAD. This entry will allow you to run ImprocRAD from other directories than the one where it is installed. If you have set this environmental variable, it is then possible to associate file extensions with ImprocRAD so that a double click on an filename will launch ImprocRAD and at the same time use the file named as the input file. The extension must, of course, be one that can be read by the program. For a listing of these extensions press the 'Read' help button. For instructions on associating file extensions with programs, look in the operating system help under 'associating files'. Please feel free to send questions and suggestions to the author, W.J.
