FLIP OR ROTATE This button opens a dialog box with buttons for choosing object rotations by 90, 180, and -90 degrees. Additional choices are flipping about the horizontal or vertical axis. The final choice is to transpose the image. Both the 'Original' and the 'Processed' images are rotated. In addition, if the x- and y-dimensions are not equal, and the rotation exchanges axes, then the dimensions are exchanged. The 'Arbitrary Rotation' function allows selection of the rotation angle specified in degrees, radians, or pi-radians (e.g. entering 2 would rotate the image by 2*pi radians or 360 degrees). Enter number as an integer or floating-point number. Both the 'Original' and 'Processed' images are rotated. A source pixels are moved to nearest-neighbor destination pixels. If the image is non-square, it is truncated to the largest, centered, included image. This help file was updated on June 15, 1999.
